Calling All Nigerian Diasporas: Get in on the Mining Action!

Did you know that the Minerals and Miners Centre (MMC) in London is reaching out to Nigerians living abroad who are interested in the mining sector? It’s true! They want to get the diaspora involved in the business activities of Nigeria’s solid minerals sector. How cool is that?

The MMC is all about promoting fruitful engagements and making sure that Nigerians living abroad can benefit from the country’s mineral resources. They’re even planning to partner with Chinese manufacturers to supply beneficiation machinery to Nigerian miners. Talk about a win-win situation!

Dr Comfort Asokoro-Ogaji, the Managing Director of Richflood International and the Representative of MMC in Nigeria, is leading the charge for responsible mining practices in the country. She’s passionate about ensuring that international and Nigerian members of MMC follow environmental and social sustainability standards. We definitely need more people like her!

But what about the women miners, you ask? Well, the MMC is all about gender inclusiveness. They’re starting by supporting women to establish cooperatives for Mineral Buying Centres. And that’s not all! They’re also setting up small-scale equipment for beneficiation that will be managed by women. It’s great to see women taking the lead in the mining sector!

So, if you’re a Nigerian living abroad and you’ve always been interested in the mining sector, now’s your chance to get involved. The MMC is here to help you make your mark in the industry. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity!
