Tinubu Vows to Crack Down on Economic Sabotage in Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has warned that his administration will no longer tolerate criminal adventurers and their local collaborators who exploit Nigeria’s socioeconomic environment to sabotage the nation’s economy. Speaking at the Africa Natural Resource And Energy Investment Summit in Abuja, Tinubu emphasized the need for genuine partners to develop Nigeria’s resources. He assured law-abiding businesses of a conducive environment but stated that those who engage in criminal activities will face the full wrath of the law. Tinubu also highlighted the importance of the solid minerals sector in the economy and expressed determination to maximize its potential. He acknowledged the challenges in the sector, including illegal mining and lack of comprehensive data, and pledged to address them. Tinubu concluded by affirming his administration’s commitment to transparency and the development of a thriving industrial sector.
