The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) is planning to organize the 6th Annual Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) in order to attract Nigerians living abroad to invest in the country. The summit aims to highlight the effectiveness of directing investment efforts towards Nigerians in the diaspora, especially in a competitive environment for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Nigeria has a significant diaspora population, with over 15 million citizens residing abroad. The NDIS provides a platform for engagement between the Nigerian diaspora and global investors, promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth in Nigeria. This year, the summit will focus on various sectors including agribusiness, technology, education, healthcare, real estate, infrastructure, creative industries, sports and entertainment, energy, mining, and manufacturing. Heifer International is the lead sponsor for this year’s event. The summit will help harness resources and support the unlocking of Nigeria’s agricultural sector to achieve food self-sufficiency. The NDIS also provides an opportunity to showcase the contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora beyond remittances. The sixth edition of the summit is expected to be the best and biggest so far.
