Nigerian Showdown: NLC and TUC Take on Imo Govt, Jonathan Backs Diri for Second Term

The showdown is on as the NLC and TUC take on the Imo Govt and Uzodimma. They’re not holding back and are set to kick off a nationwide strike on November 14. Meanwhile, analysts are raising concerns about the bloated cost of governance and are calling for a merger of MDAs and a reduction in government expenditure. In other news, former President Jonathan is backing Diri for a second term in Bayelsa, and the Appeal Court has affirmed Ibori’s daughter’s election as Delta Rep. Plus, there’s a call for the Nigeria Army to mobilise and neutralise terrorist groups in Borno and Yobe to tackle the insecurity.
