Protecting Our Communities: The Land Use Act and You

Let’s talk about the Land Use Act of 1978 and how it affects our communities. So, you know, the government is thinking of changing this act to free up some cash, but we’ve got to make sure it doesn’t mess things up for us. The way I see it, we need to protect our communities and make sure we’re not left out in the cold. I mean, we’ve already seen how land issues have caused problems in places like Zamfara State, and we don’t want that happening everywhere, right? It’s like, our connection to the land is a big part of who we are, and if that gets messed up, it’s going to cause a lot of trouble. So, before the government goes ahead with this whole thing, they need to think about how it’s going to affect us. We can’t just let them take our land and hand it over to outsiders without thinking about the consequences. It’s not just about the money, it’s about our stability and peace. We’ve already got enough problems with poverty and insecurity, we don’t need more trouble. The government needs to listen to us and make sure they’re not causing more harm than good. We should have a say in what happens to our land, and the government needs to work with us, not against us. Let’s make sure our voices are heard and our interests are protected.
