Honouring the Legacy of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland

The passing of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM, Dr. Ado Ibrahim, has sparked a motion sponsored by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP/Kogi Central). The senator has urged the Nigerian government to honour the late monarch by naming the Federal College of Education Okene after him. Senator Natasha conveyed the news of the monarch’s demise to the Senate, highlighting his contributions and impact on the Ebiraland community. She described the late Ohinoyi as a bridge-builder, peacemaker, and a social scientist, emphasizing his role in fostering unity and peace within the community. The senator also acknowledged the late monarch’s business acumen, noting his significant contributions to employment opportunities in Nigeria. Her motion was met with approval from the Senate, with all her prayers being taken into consideration. The passing of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland is indeed a great loss, and his legacy will be remembered for generations to come.
