In An Interview With The News Agency Of Nigeria (NAN), Barrow Was All Hyped About Nigeria’S Strong Presence At The 2023 AIF In Marrakesh, Morocco.
He Was Like, ‘Yo, Nigeria Brought Not One, Not Two, But Six Projects To The Table For Consideration During The Meetings.’ And Let Me Tell You, These Projects Were No Joke. We’Re Talking About Oil And Gas Pipelines In Nigeria And Morocco, An Industrial Park Project In Kaduna, And An Urban Development Project In Abuja. Oh, And There’S Also A Cancer Hospital In The Works, Set To Be Located In Different Spots Across Nigeria. Plus, Get This, They’Re Planning To Revamp And Upgrade Five Major Airports, Including The One In Abuja. Barrow Was Stoked About The Interest These Projects Drummed Up, Saying, ‘We’Re Super Pumped About The Strong Participation And The Mad Love These Projects Got.’
According To Barrow, The Forum Was Like A Platform Where Folks With Big Bucks Come To Show Off Their Deals, And Potential Investors Are Like, ‘Yeah, I’M Down For That.’ Then They Get Into The Nitty-Gritty Of Making The Deals Happen, You Know, All The Paperwork And Discussions To Make Sure Everything’S Good To Go. And Let’S Not Forget The Follow-Up Work That Needs To Be Done To Make These Projects A Reality. It’S All About Getting The Green Light From The Money People And Making Sure Everything’S Set For Takeoff.
Meanwhile, Dr Akinwunmi Adesina, The Big Cheese At AfDB, Was All About The Big Deals In Food And Agriculture, Renewable Energy, And Transportation At The AIF. He Was Like, ‘We’Re Also Looking At Mining, The Creative Industry, ICT, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Sea Seaports, Railways, Health, And Special Agro Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZs).’ Basically, They’Re Building A Powerhouse For Investment In Africa, And They’Ve Been At It For Over Five Years. Adesina Also Talked About Tackling The ‘Japa’ Syndrome Among African Youths, You Know, The Whole Idea Of Young People Leaving The Continent For Greener Pastures.
And Let’S Not Forget Miss Chinelo Anohu, The Head Honcho At AIF, Who Was All About Africans Solving Their Own Problems. She Quoted His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Saying, ‘Africans Must Trust Africans To Solve Their Problems.’ It’S All About Changing The Game For The Youth In Africa And Showing Them That They’Ve Got The Power To Make Things Happen.
