Nigeria Is Looking To Use AI And Other Advanced Tech To Fight Terror And Protect The Country. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Is Leading The Charge In This Effort. With A Population Of 225 Million And The Largest Economy In Africa, Nigeria Faces Serious Terror Threats From Islamist Groups. To Address This, NAF Recently Held The Communications Information Systems (CIS) Conference In Abuja To Discuss Ways To Combat Terror And Violent Crime. Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, The Chief Of The Air Staff (CAS), Emphasized The Importance Of Technology In Enhancing The Air Force’S Operational Effectiveness. He Highlighted The Potential Of AI In Processing Data, Analysing Information, And Making Real-Time Decisions To Give The Air Force An Edge In Various Operations Across The Country. The Conference, Themed “Exploiting Emerging CIS Technologies For An Agile And Resilient NAF, To Effectively Meet National Security Imperatives,” Underscored The Significance Of Technological Advancements For NAF. Abubakar Also Stressed NAF’S Commitment To Research, Development, And Strategic Partnerships To Leverage Cutting-Edge Technology. The Conference Saw The Participation Of Key Stakeholders, Including The National Information Technology Development Agency, National Space Research And Development Agency, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Nigerian Communications Satellite, And Nigerian Communications Commission.
