Get Ready for the 2023 Gold Fields PGA Championship

The 2023 Gold Fields PGA Championship has just been launched, and it’s going to be a big one! The tournament is set to happen from November 29 to December 2, 2023, at the Damang Golf Course. And guess what? The prize money has gone up this year! It’s now a whopping 385,000 Ghana Cedis, which is more than last year.

The regular pro champion is going to take home 80,000 Ghana Cedis, and that’s 20,000 more than in 2022. And for the senior pro champion, they’re getting 25,000 Cedis, which is 5,000 more than last year. That’s some serious cash!

There’s going to be some tough competition with 33 Ghanaian regular pros and 9 foreign regular pros from Togo, Cote d’Ivoire, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria all set to compete. They’ve all qualified through the ‘Road to Damang’ competitions that were held during the year.

But that’s not all! This year, there’s something new and exciting. For the first time ever, female golfers will be competing. They’ll be playing for three days and will even be awarded trophies. It’s a great opportunity for them to gain experience and sharpen their talent in golf.

And here’s the inside scoop – the Executive Vice President of Gold Fields Ghana, Joshua Mortoti, spilled the beans that a new headline sponsor will soon take over from Gold Fields. But don’t worry, Gold Fields will still be part of the family.

So, get ready for an epic championship with some fierce competition and a whole lot of excitement!
