President Tinubu’s Big Trip to Germany

? President Bola Tinubu is off to Germany this Saturday for the G20 Compact with Africa Conference. It’s all about energy, trade, and investment, and it’s going to be a big deal. The German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, is hosting the conference alongside the Fourth G20 Investment Summit. Tinubu’s got a lot on his plate as he joins other Heads of State and Governments to talk about boosting investments in energy, trade, infrastructure, and new technologies. He’s really pushing for more foreign investment in Nigeria, and this trip is all about that. It’s also a way of saying thanks to the German Chancellor for visiting Nigeria a while back. The Nigerian delegation is all set to follow up on some important meetings with German business organizations. Tinubu’s been talking to Chancellor Scholz about getting more German companies to invest in Nigeria, especially in transportation, mining, and energy. Nigeria and Germany have been doing some serious business, with their trade volume increasing from two to three billion Euros in just a year. Tinubu’s not going alone, though. He’s taking some heavy hitters with him, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, and the Minister of Power. This trip to Germany marks Tinubu’s 10th foreign destination since he took office about six months ago. He’s been all over the place, from France to the United States, and now he’s adding Germany to the list. But don’t worry, he’ll be back home after the conference.
