AbdulFatai Seriki, the Founder and Managing Director of Kursi Investment Limited, and his Yahaya Seriki Foundation, came through with a whopping N250 million cash donation programme to support the less privileged. The event, held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Ilorin, Kwara State, was all about giving back and making a positive impact.

Mr Seriki, a former governorship aspirant and the Director General of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq Campaign Organisation, emphasized the importance of supporting the less privileged and how this intervention aligns with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu and the governor of the state.

Apart from his passion for helping the less privileged, Mr Seriki also highlighted the corporate social responsibility of his mining company. He pointed out that the company is committed to impacting the host communities, and this cash donation is a clear demonstration of that commitment.

But it’s not just about the money. Mr Seriki had some inspiring words for the youth. He encouraged them to believe in themselves and to respect their culture and elders. He shared his own story of coming from a poor background and rising to success, urging the youth to shun hooliganism and other social vices.

The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRasaq, who chaired the occasion, commended the initiative and its impact on the state’s economy. He expressed gratitude for the generous gesture and acknowledged the significant role played by Mr Seriki and his foundation during the gubernatorial elections.

The beneficiaries of this generous donation also had their say. Khadijah Olayiwo, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her gratitude and promised to use the money wisely for her business. Another beneficiary, Ibrahim Ayonitemi, shared her joy and appreciation for being selected, expressing her commitment to using the money judiciously for her business and family.

This kind of support is truly life-changing for these individuals, and it’s heartwarming to see the positive impact it’s making. Kudos to AbdulFatai Seriki and his foundation for making a difference in the lives of the less privileged. Let’s hope this inspires more individuals and organisations to step up and make a positive impact in their communities.
