NEITI is really stepping up its game to boost government revenue from the solid minerals sector. They’re teaming up with mining companies to make sure everything is transparent and accountable. The Miners Association of Nigeria paid a visit to NEITI House in Abuja, and it looks like they’re all in for a closer partnership.

NEITI’s big on this because they want to make sure the government gets its fair share from the industry. They’re all about making sure the mining companies are doing things right and making good profits, while also making sure the government gets the revenue it needs for infrastructure and all that good stuff.

The Executive Secretary of NEITI, Dr. Orji, made it clear that they’re all about drawing attention to the best ways to do business in the industry. They want to make sure everyone’s happy and fulfilled, and that means creating an environment where businesses can thrive without any drama.

The President of the Miners Association of Nigeria, Mr. Dele Ayanleke, gave NEITI a big thumbs up for their efforts in keeping things transparent and accountable. He’s all about NEITI’s independent auditing and reporting, saying it’s been a real help to the members of his Association.

But it’s not all smooth sailing. Mr. Ayanleke raised some concerns about interference from State Governments that’s holding back the sector’s growth. He’s looking to NEITI for some backup in getting those State Governments to play by the rules.

It’s clear that NEITI and the mining companies are in this together, and they’re all about making sure things are fair, accountable, and profitable. Let’s hope this partnership leads to some real positive changes in the solid minerals sector!
