Yahaya Seriki Foundation’s Generosity Shines in Kwara State

So, there’s this awesome foundation called the Yahaya Seriki Foundation, and they’re doing some really cool stuff in Kwara State. They just donated a whopping N250 million to help out 1,800 people in the state. And get this, they’re helping out artisans, students, market folks, and traders – basically, they’re spreading the love to everyone!

The founder of the foundation, Yahaya Seriki, is a big shot in the minerals sector. He’s super grateful to the people of Kwara for all the support they’ve given him. His company, KURSI Investment Ltd, has been doing some serious mining for over 15 years. And guess what? At least 70% of the people working for him are from Kwara. That’s pretty awesome, right?

The government of Kwara has been a big help too. They’ve made sure that the mining industry has the right security and environment to thrive. And you know what’s really cool? This isn’t about politics at all. It’s just people coming together to make things better for everyone.

So, the foundation handed out cheques worth N250 million to different folks. Some lucky ones got N500,000, while others got N250,000. And there were even more beneficiaries in the N50,000 category. It’s like a big celebration of generosity!

And it gets even better. Some of the beneficiaries had some amazing things happen to them. Like, there’s this geologist who got a scholarship for a doctorate degree at a foreign university. How cool is that? And there’s a laboratory scientist who got a job at KURSI Investment Ltd. Plus, a human resources practitioner got a PhD scholarship. It’s like a dream come true for these folks!

Oh, and get this – a traditional ruler in Kwara State got a cheque for N50 million to help out his people. That’s some serious generosity right there.

The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, was super grateful for the foundation’s support. He thanked them for teaming up with the state government to fight poverty. And he had some really nice things to say about Yahaya Seriki too. He’s all about engaging the youth and building up the nation. It’s great to see leaders coming together to make a difference.

The event was a big deal, with some top folks showing up. There was the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, a former Minister of Sports, the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, and a traditional ruler. It was like a who’s who of important people!
