Kogi Governor Presents 2024 Budget to State Assembly
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State presented the state’s 2024 Appropriation Bill to the House of Assembly, seeking approval for the proposed N258.2 billion budget. This represents a significant increase from the N197.59 billion Revised Approved Budget of 2023, with a focus on consolidating the gains made in the previous fiscal year.
The proposed budget allocates N145.73 billion for recurrent expenditure and N112.54 billion for capital expenditure. Governor Bello outlined the sectoral allocations, with significant amounts earmarked for administration, the economy, law and justice, and social affairs.
