– Investors can submit applications and track their processing, while the public can access cadastral information in real time.
– Benefits include improved revenue generation through increased foreign investment and enhanced transparency within Nigeria’s mining operations.
– Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Vice President, highlighted the system’s efficiency and nondiscretionary nature, aimed at fostering a digital governance platform in the sector.
– Engr Simon Nkom, Director General of MCO, emphasised the platform’s capability of providing real-time access to information via mobile devices.
– This upgrade is part of the “Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification Project – MINDIVER,” funded by the World Bank.
