China Nonferrous Metal Mining Group Releases 2022 ESG Report
China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd is pleased to announce the publication of its 2022 ESG Report, underscoring the company’s unwavering dedication to advancement, accountability, and progression within the non-ferrous metal industry.
As a prominent figure in international ventures among Chinese corporations, CNMC operates in more than 40 nations and commands an approximate 20 million tons of heavy non-ferrous metal reserves. The company operates under the guidance of the “1+4 Development Strategy” and remains steadfast in its endeavour to expedite the establishment of a globally competitive, world-class enterprise.
Despite the obstacles posed by escalating input costs and a decline in copper prices, CNMC accomplished an operational revenue of 139.497 billion yuan in 2022, signifying a 10% increase in total profit growth. Furthermore, the company has made substantial investments of 794 million yuan towards environmental conservation.
The 2022 ESG Report is categorised into three sections and encompasses five chapters that expound upon CNMC’s commitment to fundamental business operations, innovation, environmental conservation, collaborative endeavours, and social responsibility. The report serves as a testament to the company’s exertions in realising enduring advancement, excellence, low-carbon transmutation, mutual prosperity, and societal harmony.
During his address, Xi Zhengping, the chairman of CNMC, accentuated the company’s pledge to fully incorporating the new development concept and fortifying sustainable development management. He articulated CNMC’s resolve to expedite the establishment of a world-class enterprise.
