Orosur Mining Explores Lithium Opportunities in Nigeria

Canada-based Orosur Mining has teamed up with Nigeria’s Jurassic Mines to explore lithium opportunities in Nigeria. Orosur’s UK subsidiary, Lithium West, will be leading the joint venture. The project will focus on four exploration licenses in Nigeria’s primary pegmatite belt, covering an area of approximately 322km². Additional areas are also being considered for inclusion in the project. Orosur plans to explore these licenses, which are believed to have high potential for lithium mineralization. In the first phase of the project, Lithium West can earn up to a 51% stake by investing $3m over three years. In the second phase, they can earn an additional 19% stake by investing $2m over two years, bringing their total interest to 70%. Nigeria has become a promising region for the discovery of lithium pegmatite mineralization in recent years. Orosur Mining CEO Brad George expressed confidence in the company’s ability to develop this opportunity in Nigeria, along with their South American assets.
