The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Ado Ibrahim, was laid to rest in his hometown of Okene, Kogi on Sunday. The burial, which took place according to Islamic rites, was delayed due to unforeseen challenges. The Chief Imam of Ebiraland led the burial rites and prayers, asking for forgiveness for the late Ohinoyi’s sins. The national president of the Ebira Development Association expressed his sadness at the loss of such a great leader. The funeral was attended by prominent figures, including the Kogi governor and other royal fathers. Ado Ibrahim, born in 1929, was a successful businessman before becoming the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in 1997. He was known for his impact as a leader and will be greatly missed.
