So, the Senate has called in the military and other security agencies to have a chat about the rising insecurity issues in the country. They want to get the lowdown on what steps are being taken to deal with the problem. The Senate also gave a big thumbs up to the security forces and agencies for their hard work in fighting all kinds of insecurity in the country. They’re really pushing for the security agencies to up their game and work together better to tackle all the different types of insecurity that are causing trouble in the nation. The Senate even wants the security agencies to come up with a National Security Policy document that outlines how they can work together better and do some joint training to boost their skills and effectiveness in dealing with security challenges. Senator Abdulaziz Yar’Adua, who brought up the motion, pointed out that the security situation in Nigeria is really tough and no single security agency can handle it alone. He stressed the need for all the relevant security agencies and government departments to team up and work together to deal with insurgencies and other security crises. He mentioned that Nigeria has a bunch of security agencies besides the Armed Forces and the Police, and they all need to work together to keep the country safe. Yar’Adua highlighted the various security crises that Nigeria is facing, from Boko Haram in the North-East to bandits and kidnappers in the North-West, and other criminal activities in the South-East and South-South. He even brought up specific incidents like the kidnapping of Major General RC Duru and attacks by bandits in different parts of the country. He emphasized the importance of all the security agencies working together under a centralized command structure to make Nigeria safe. It’s a big call for all the security agencies and government bodies to come together and make sure the country is secure.
